Zoroastrianism is famous popular ancient religion and philosophy as world’s oldest monotheistic religion. It is considered based on the teachings of Prophet Zoroaster (also known as Zarathustra, in Avestan). Zoroastrianism is the name commonly given to the philosophical and religious system propounded by Zoroaster or Zarathustra (Zoroaster was an ancient Iranian prophet, philosopher and religious poet), a thinker who lived in the region that is now Iran. Zoroastrianism is characterized by dualism, the belief that there is both a supreme power of good and a supreme power of evil, which do battle throughout time. Humans are to support the supreme power of good, Ahura Mazda, and there is hope that in the end of time he will triumph.
