Birds are a good indicator of the state of an economy. If there are many and varied birds in an environment, then that environment is prosperous. If there are too few, it is a sign of despair. Birds need water, fruit-bearing and shade-giving trees, secure housing, and lively neighbourhoods full of matchmaking activities and educational facilities for kids. Birds are not very different from humans, though they are far less opinionated.
