Batik is an Art form, historically originated in India and spread in Indonesia. Batik has a history of nearly 1000 years. This art form flourished internationally with specific ethnic specialities, in colour, process of dyeing, application of wax etc. Finished Batik products are cleaned in hot water and hence the colour does not fade.
